Foundation For Different Skin Types.
Foundations are the basis of any makeup. You cannot build a beautiful face without a solid foundation, it doesn’t really matter what the rest of your makeup looks like, if the foundation isn’t good, the makeup is bad.
There are different skin types, some have an oily skin, some dry, and some have a normal skin. A person with an oily skin isn’t expected to use the same foundation as one who has a dry skin. Knowing your skin type is key so as to pick the
foundation that will work best for you and give you the results you desire.
*For a dry skin:
A moisturizing foundation preferably liquid will work best for you. These liquid foundations usually have a slightly thicker texture than oil-free foundations and typically are easy to blend due to
the amount of slip they have.
**For an Oily skin:
The best way to control shine is with an oil-free foundation, so avoid any formula that claims to have a “dewy” or “luminizing” texture. You can try
a Long-Wearing, Matte-Finish Liquid foundations.
These liquid foundations are almost always oil-free and the best ones are truly long-wearing and stay put. Most have a thin consistency that sets in place quickly, so blending must be fast and
precise. Most blending mistakes can be fixed, but not as easily as with other types of liquid foundations.
***For Normal skin:
If you are lucky enough to have a normal skin, most foundation types will work for you. All you have to do is decide if you love the matte finish or the dewy finish.
****For acne prone skin:
If you have a skin that is acne prone, stay away from pigmented full coverage foundations. Its tempting to use them, but they can only cause more harm than good. The high pigment is likely to cake and stick to trouble spots making them more obvious. Its ok to use an oil-free light fluid foundation and use a concealer to deal with your blemishes or acne.
Keep Calm Lovely Peeps!
